Identity Through Christ

Your identity in Christ begins the minute you repent from sin and accept Christ as your Lord and personal Savior. From then on you have automatically adopted the new identity and a lot of people do not know what great strength that gives you.

The basic foundation is rooted in your identity and this shapes how you live your life onward.

The old covenant that was made for the Israelites started with God to Abraham and ended with John The Baptize, who paved the way for Christ, through Christ a new covenant was made for all mankind and not limited to one nation and through him came salvation.

Through His salvation came a new identity in him, with that identity we also gained access to the Holy Spirit, who lives within us the minute we surrender to Christ.

If we look into Luke 16:16 it says, “The Law and the prophets were until John: Since that time the Kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”

Luke 16:16

“The Law and the prophets were until John: Since that time the Kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”

KJV

This is to say that the covenant from the old testament was fulfilled and ended with John the Baptize.

The old testament talked about the coming of Jesus, who is the lamb that was sacrificed to birth a new covenant, through Jesus a new era of preaching of repentance and salvation started with Christ the Lord, leading to his cruxifiction.

By him taking on our sins and having it nailed with him on the cross to save not just Israelites that believed in him but also all of mankind, who believe in him by surrendering to him and repenting from their sins.

Luke 10:19 says “Behold, i give unto power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Luke 10:19

“Behold, i give unto power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

This identity in Christ is a solid foundation to have to help you when you are facing trials, tribulations, and spiritual warfare with the enemy.

Through this identity we are equipped with the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, the name above all names Jesus, and the blood of Jesus which is the blood of the lamb that was slain to atone for our sins.

So know this that greater is he that is in you, than the world heareth them.

1 John 4:4

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he who is in the world.”

So know this truth, whenever the enemy comes forth with lies and deceptions.

Matthew 6:9-13

Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Stay blessed and in the word of God. May the Holy Spirit lead and guide you throughout your day in Jesus name. Amen.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, i pray that it blesses you as much as it has blessed me.
