POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD

A lot of us want God’s healing without truelyserving him, we want the gifts he gives like the prodigal son without having the relationship with him.

We want to dip our feet just a tiny bit in the water without immersing our whole self into the water of life.

If you read the book of Matthew to John, you will see how the multitude would follow Jesus, wanting healing and cleansing but never took in some of his teachings and there were some who took it in and were changed for the better and want or needed more. This is like the Parable Jesus spoke about in the bible, this is in Mark 4: 3-9.

Mark 4: 3-9

Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

And it came to pass, as he sowed some fell by the way side, and then fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.”

Jesus then went on to make clear of his parable to his disciples because they did not understand what he was saying. He broke it down to them in verse 14 to 20 saying.

Mark 4: 14-20

The sower soweth the word. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

And have no roots in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the world’s sake, immediately they are offended.

And these are which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, bring forth fruit, some thirty fold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

The word of God is a living and active word, that when you start reading it, you will find yourself wanting to read more to know more about Jesus. With reading and knowing more daily you start to realize that the seeds of the word of God has been planted and is starting to germinate within your heart.

You start noticing you having distates for thing of this world. your old habits do not satisfy you any longer and you want more of the things that are of God.

Through the word of God the seeds of Faith which is the word of God has been planted and as long as you stay in the word daily, your faith in God will begin to grow.

In Romans 10:17 it says.

Romans 10:17

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the word of God.

By reading the word of God the seed of Faith as small as a grain of mustard seed gets planted in your heart. The more you immerse yourself in the word daily your Faith grows strong and steady and becomes unshakeable and unmoveable because as along as your heart which is the soil is ready to receive the word of God that seed will surely grow. This also brings in mind the word of Jesus in Matthew 6: 33.

Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and these things shall be added unto you.

In other word start your day with seeking the word of God first and also pray, then will everything else be given to you by God.

Seeking the word of God will start off your day right, by planting the word of God in your heart and it helps set your day to where you are bringing God’s presence into everything for that day.

Through reading of the word you start to build a relationship with God and having the desires to please him, know him and align with him.

The word of God is more than a word, it is a living breathing word that can turn your life for the better. Rather than spending your time reading novels, self-help books, how about trying to open the word of God and get to know who God truly really is and i promise you that once you do, your never going to be the same again or wanting the old you.

I thank God and give all glory to him, who still loves me despite my flaws and saw the good in me, when nobody else did. He is my redeemer and my one and only God, whom i will serve for all eternity.

Glory be to you God of the universe, creator of Heaven and Earth, be thou glorified and magnified in Jesus name, Amen.

God’s Commandments: Love and Revelation in Scripture

As i was spending time with God this morning, the Holy Spirit put in my heart to read 1 John 5:3 which states:

1 John 5:3

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

NKJV

I then went back starting from the beginning of the chapter and kept reading until i got to verse 7 and read up until chapter 12. But as i was reading verse 7 and 8 a revelation hit me.

1 John 5:7-8

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three agree in one.

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

NKJV

After reading this two verses, i went back to Genesis 1:2-4 where it says

Genesis 1: 2-4

2 and the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

NKJV

The revelation that hit gave me a confirmation that Jesus the son of God is the Word of life, as he has said in John 14:10-11.

John 14:10-11
10 Believest thou that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that i am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

NKJV

The Holy Trinity which are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit that are one are also the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit.

I then looked into Genesis and realized that Jesus’s claim of him being in the Father and the Father being in him is very true because in the book of Genesis 3-4 where God said the word “Let there be light and there was light. Jesus was the word that was spoken by God, which brought forth light.

This is why the statement of “I am the light of the world” is true. He is the light of the world because he is the word of light that the Father called forth for when creating Heaven and Earth.

The Word was in the Father that he spoke creating light, the Word hold the embodiment of the Father.

The three Holy Trinity were present at the beginning of creation. The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, this was referring to the Holy Spirit.

All of this to show forth whom the Father is.

How great is the Heavenly Father. Thank you Heavenly Father for revealing this to me through your Spirit. Glory be unto your name Oh God, Almighty, ruler of the Universe.

I pray that this revelation that was given to me to share blesses every reader and pray in touches every heart In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Journey of Surrendering to God- Part 1

What does it mean to Surrender to God’s Will?

Surrendering to God’s Will means to die to one’s self and give all control to God.

This is one of the hardest thing to do, how do i know this?

I know this because I am still learning how to do this myself.

Surrendering means that you are making a choice of trusting God’s plans over yours, giving him everything.

From your worries, anxieties, anger, sadness, happiness, stress and so much more.

This means submitting to God’s guidance.

I also find myself needing to submit to God’s guidance every single day, second, minutes, hours, days, weeks, moths, and years.

A perfect example would be part of the Lord’s prayer found in

Matthew 6:10: “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

KJV

This would mean completely dying to self and accepting God wholeheartedly no matter how hard it gets.

Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.

KJV

The thing with us is that we tend to things that God wants totally perfection when surrendering to him but that is not quite true.

No one is more perfect that Christ Jesus whom was pure and clean lamb who came to earth and took up all of our sins, so that we can be presented to the Father as perfect every time we come before the Father.

We think that we need to get our lives in order before we can finally accept Christ and give our live to him.

Stop sinning before we can repent.

Luke 19:10

“For son of Man came to seek and save the lost”.

Luke 15: 4-7

“What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for i have found my sheep which was lost.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

KJV

Elderly man wearing a brown jacket and knit hat holding a white lamb outdoors at sunset
A smiling elderly farmer warmly holds a lamb with sunset hills in the background.

This is to say that everytime a sinner repents, heaven rejoices. God would rather want you to keep getting up each time you fall and keep trying than give up and stay in sin forever.

I am no exception, we were all born into sin and no man is perfect, just keep trying and never give up hope.

This is where grace comes into play.

Seeking God’s Purpose: A Journey with Jesus (Part 2)

How to Please God

  1. Seek him
  2. Turn away from sin or ask him to help you to turn away from sin
  3. Showing compassion
  4. Reading the word to grow in Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding
  5. Give all of yourself to Jesus and never look back.

He is the way and the life to eternity. You cannot get to the Father without him.

I have a question to ask. What has the world done for you so far?

World’s Offer

All the world has ever offered you are:

  • heartache
  • depression
  • lost in the world
  • confused
  • angry
  • indebt
  • betrayal
  • false identity
  • turning away from the people whom God placed into your life to help you get to the next chapter of your life.
  • entertaining life of sin that leads you to destruction and eternal death
  • imprisonment of the mind or sometimes even physically
  • addictions of all kinds
  • trapped

The list goes on and on, if I had kept going it could write a whole book with it.

Question to you.

What has the world offered you that you thought was something good but turned out to be something that was actually bad for you?

For me I had thought that some of the people that came into my life were good for me but came to find out that having them in my life kind of set my progress to reaching where God needed me to be by years or months away.

I was having a hard time letting go, when God was trying clean the house around me.

All it did was bring chaos, confusion, anger, heartache, depression and so much more. But I thank God for getting me through it and helping me to grow stronger.

Please share your experiences in the comments below, your testimony or story so others can know that they are not alone on this journey

Seeking God’s Purpose: A Journey with Jesus (Part 1)

What does the world offer?

With all of our chasing or running after worldly possessions, what have we really gained that is eternal?

Peace that surpasses all understanding?

Sound mind, body and health?

Salvation from eternal damation?

Freedom?

Wisdom?

Knowledge?

Understanding?

All these things come with giving your life to Christ.

We should be seeking the Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, and to have a close relationship with the Holy Spirit that actually lives within us.

All things on earth are temporary gains, that fades when we leave this world, but everything with Christ is eternal.

We should seek pleasure in reading and knowing the Father’s words.

Through the Father’s words, we would know the Father’s Will for our lives.

Rather than wanting to know what is going on with the Kardashian or any celebrity.

My rule of thumb is this, will all these celebrities that I am suppose to care about, will they get me into heaven?

If the answer is no then, it is meaningless.

We should be getting to know about the biggest celebrity, whom we rarely celebrate and whom we should be celebrating everyday.

Jesus Christ!

Jesus came into this world an innocent man, whom was just about doing his Heavenly Father’s business.

Saving us from walking on the wrong path, that we can never come back from once we leave this world.

Are worldly possessions more important than making our soul and spirit align with the Will of the Father?

For me I use to try chasing after material things such as money, having a lot of friends in my life and now I love it when it is just me, God and my family.

Nothing else matters to me.

All the money and fame gained through living a sinful life only leads to destruction and not salvation.

Have we ever taken time to read the word, meditate on the word and then go to the Lord and ask him what is the true purpose of him creating you?

What has he brought you to this world to do?

What gift or gifts has he placed inside you that is useful in his Kingdom?

Do you know one of the greatest failures in this world is never seeking God to really know your full potential in his Kingdom before you ever depart or leave this world.

But instead we are chasing after things of the world that will never save your soul from eternal hell.

We are allowed to enjoy some things in this world but make sure they reflect Christ in you.

Whenever you do something ask yourself. Is this something Christ would be pleased with or do?

Living for the world and doing worldly things is something you can never come back from once you die and leave this world.

It’s okay for man to fall, but as long as you keep getting back up that is all Jesus wants to see.

Waterfall and river with glowing words representing the Word of God as living water in a natural landscape
A serene landscape portrays the Word of God flowing as living water through a vibrant valley.

1 John 2:15-17:

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

He wants to see you trying.

Finding Faith Through Loss: My Journey

My salvation journey has always been on and off, especially growing up in an African Christian household. I was raised in a household where going to church was a must; there was no other choice about church.

Fast ahead to me as an adult, now married with a family of my own. The shift came for me when we lost my one and only younger sister unexpectedly.

It was a tough time for my mom and me.

Going through this strengthened our bond with each other as family. It also drew us closer to God. This was due to constant prayer and reading of scripture.

The Loss

I had to leave my husband with our soon-to-be two-year-old daughter. I traveled all the way to Seattle, Washington, to see my sister.

I saw her battling for her life.

I remember before getting to Seattle while on the plane. I was constantly saying a silent prayer. I cried out to God to please save her and asked for a miracle.

Between my mom and myself, we had to make plans on going out there. My mom managed to get a flight the next day.

I was finally found a flight two to three days later.

I finally saw my sister. The sight of her broke my heart. I tried to stay strong for my mom, as her oldest daughter. As her oldest I had to be there for her.

Seeing my sister on that hospital bed stirred many emotions in me. Constantly putting my trust in God for a miracle.

During our stay, we read scriptures Psalm 91 for protection of God over her or Psalm 23 to her. We prayed and talked to her. We also encouraged her to push through while trusting God.

I was getting closer to God. He was showing me things through dreams and visions.

The day we went there to see her last, I woke up having a dream. In it, God told me He’s got her. She is with Him.

The joy and happiness I felt were immense. I thought we were going to get her back. I was thinking he meant he’s got her and will save her.

But that was not the case. He was actually telling me she is with him. He is taking her to heaven with him.

The Acceptance

We accepted it as the will of God. Over the past few years, my sister had been battling with so many issues in her life. We believed God told her to come home. He saw she was not ready for other things to come her way in the future.

I was upset with myself. I felt that I should have been there for her more. I needed to be more available, loving, compassionate, and accepting. That maybe by doing these thing I have saved her.

Has any ever felt guilty for not being more involved in the life of their loved ones? How did you get through it?

After that, I was given several visions of her all throughout the day from God.

In one of my visions, I saw her in traditional Yoruba wedding attire. She looked flawless and had no blemishes. She radiated with a beautiful smile and was dancing.

It was like a wedding celebration that was taking place, which i believe is the groom welcoming his bride. Which biblical Christ symbolizes the groom and my sister as the bride into the Heavenly kingdom.

With this vision knew God was telling me she has passed over to the heavenly realm.

I was happy and sad at the same time. I had to accept this because, at the end of the day, God’s will always prevails.

Have you ever had visions or dream about your someone’s passing?

How long did it take to accept it?

I finally told my mom she had already passed over. We needed to let her go.

I can’t imagine how my mom felt as a mother who lost her baby. I understand because I can’t imagine losing my own daughter.

I went from being an older sister to being the only child left. My daughter is now my mom’s only grandchild and source of happiness.

And my daughter also lost an aunt. She was getting to know her. She loved being around her whenever we saw her.

How did you break the news to little ones about the passing of an older relative?

My sister was later pronounced brain dead; February 22nd of 2023 was the hardest day for our family.

We got to meet people who cared for her. Some of my sister’s coworkers came to say their final goodbyes. Friends also visited.

We had to make plans about her burial. But, I had to go home and attend to my family. While I was out there, my daughter got very sick and needed me to be home.

While going through this i was also constantly praying for God to let her soul rest in peace.

I learned a valuable lesson from losing my sister. That lesson was that life is too short. We should not waste time on unnecessary things that God is trying to get us out of those things.

What valuable lessons did you learn from God?

I had to leave my mom out there with some friends and family and fly back.

The Adjustment

My husband and daughter kept me so busy during all this. I did not have time to process everything. I couldn’t find a moment to myself.

I was also juggling work, planning a funeral, and taking care of a soon-to-be two-year-old little girl.

And the final kicker of it all was that my job knew I was going through loss. They did not care. They decided to let me go in the middle of everything.

What crazy thing or things happened to you while dealing with the loss of a family member?

The period from February to the month of June felt like one of the longest. I wasn’t capable of processing everything yet.

But through all these things God was faithful and true.

A month right after my job let me go, God blessed with a better job with more flexibility. To that i give him glory and honor.

What blessings did you get after going through loss?

I guess I was bottling everything up unintentionally and trying to stay strong.

Around this time, I was not strengthening my relationship with God. I was merely going through the motions of my duties as the oldest daughter.

I had become the only child of my mom.

It is now March 25, 2026, and three years have passed. I have come full circle to have a relationship with Christ. I ask Him to strengthen my faith each day.

Reading the word of the Father, which is like water to my heart where my faith is housed.

While constantly praying, seeking him through scripture, prayer and now being capable of actually fasting, while trying to emulate Christ.

My relationship went from up and down to God finally arresting my heart and turning my heart back to him.

How did God grab your attention to focus on him?

Now I can’t imagine a life without the Heavenly Father. I do not want to ever go back to the old me. I have tasted the world. I have seen the world. I know what the world has.

After experiencing Christ, I know the difference. I do not miss anything in the world.

What is your own experience with Christ?

After giving my life, I am aware of the Holy Spirit in me. I am now capable of giving up the things of the world. I do not want to be a part of it.

The veil the enemy placed over my eyes has been lifted. The greatest gift that Christ gave me was salvation.

I pray for salvation for the world. I hope those that do not know him will get to experience him.

Once they experience him, they never go back because walking with Christ is walking in freedom.

So by me writing this blog is my way of giving back to the Heavenly Father, and Christ Jesus.

This is my way of thanking God for my salvation. I pray that anyone reading this experiences the true joy and peace.

What are you doing to thank God for the salvation he has given you?

These blessings come from the one who died on the cross. He rose from the grave and freed the souls held captive by Satan. He then took them into heaven.

With giving ones life to Christ brings redemption, freedom, joy, happiness and so much more. I just want the world to really try him and there is no better time than now.

Life is too short. Anything can happen at any moment. The time that you think you have is cut short.
